The etymology of a curtain

 I do not perceive architecture as a series of pure inventions that lead to an outstanding result, but more as a process which includes perpetual questioning of historical and contemporary references and their reinterpretations as a reaction to the context of the given brief.

As the main theme of the intervention in a project of an office space interior, architects Dekleva Gregorič have chosen – a curtain. It may sound familiar, as textile curtains have been appearing in many projects lately, yet here we find an important deviation from the usual cliché implementations of this element, which mostly appears in the form of window blinds or as a cover-up for some unappealing detail, simply playing its banal, decorative role.
